At P&D Painters, we take pride in transforming industrial spaces with our expert painting services. We recently had the opportunity to showcase our skills on a great project with Frews Transport Depot in Hornby, Christchurch: painting the exterior of a large warehouse used for storing transport vehicles. This undertaking not only revitalised the building's appearance but also enhanced its functionality.
Before the Transformation
The warehouse, a sprawling corrugated metal structure, was in need of some attention. Our mission was clear: to provide a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution that would stand the test of time. We selected a sophisticated dark red paint, a bold choice that would bring a touch of elegance and professionalism to the industrial setting.
Our Approach
- Surface Preparation: The first step was thorough surface preparation. We cleaned the corrugated metal panels meticulously, removing dirt, rust, and any loose paint. This step is crucial to ensure the new paint adheres properly and lasts longer.
- Graffiti Removal: Special attention was given to the graffiti. Our team used eco-friendly solutions to completely remove the existing graffiti, ensuring a clean slate for the new paint.
- Anti-Graffiti Paint Application: We used a high-quality, anti-graffiti paint for this project. This paint not only provided a beautiful dark red finish but also incorporated special properties to resist future graffiti attacks. If graffiti does appear, it can be easily cleaned off without damaging the paint underneath.
- Expert Painting: With the surface prepped and ready, our skilled painters were painting with passion applying the dark red paint evenly and efficiently. The result was a smooth, consistent finish that dramatically improved the warehouse's appearance.
